Duties Description The Assembly member's District Office is hiring a Communications Director to develop and execute the office’s communications plan. The Communications Director will be in charge of creating and distributing the office’s mail and email newsletters, managing and growing the Assembly member’s social media presence, and assisting organizing and promoting town halls, press events, community events, community forums, and other appearances. The Communications Director will also serve as the Assembly Member’s primary spokesperson and manage relationships with media outlets and other stakeholders including responding to media inquiries, coordinating interviews, preparing press statements, and leading press conferences.
Minimum Qualifications Qualifications:
Experienced in political communications, public relations, journalism, or media
Proficient with social media management tools, digital communication strategies, and media monitoring
Spanish bilingual is a major plus
